Stretching the limits of what yoga classes (and its practitioners) look like, Sōl Yoga Collective is redefining yoga for our whole community.

Donation based classes mean the benefits of practicing yoga are available to everyone, regardless of skill level, income, or background.

Curator and founder, Karen Buxcel believes the power of yoga should be open to anyone who has the desire to try.  Wanting to expand the mold for modern day studios, Karen's conviction to keep the business model as open as possible has inspired her to imagine a whole new construct: the yoga collective.  Yoga instructors are encouraged to utilize Sōl's studio space as a shared treasure, and class attendees are asked to donate what they can.  With this pay-what-you-can shared model, the well being and advantages of this therapeutic practice become inviting to any and everyone.

[What I want to add to the world is] yoga that’s more accessible to more people, providing a safe space for our community to learn about and practice yoga together, in a non-intimidating environment, where each person is accepted (and celebrated!) for who they are and where they are.
— Karen Buxcel

In addition to leading a full schedule of yoga classes at Sōl, Karen provides one on one yoga therapy sessions.  Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is the marriage of yoga practice and guided emotional therapy.  Karen is currently offering a sliding scale cost for sessions from $70-85 after recently receiving her accreditation.  Taking the spiritual, emotional, and physical benefits of yoga to a privately guided therapeutic session can mean connecting and grounding even more deeply.
