First tell us about your business--how and why did you start it?
Since I graduated from college with my undergrad degree in English, I've always dreamed of owning my own writing/editing business. It wasn't until I finished my MFA in Fiction Writing, though, that I knew I had it in me to make writing a career. I've been doing editing/writing jobs on the side for over ten years, but last year I finally took the leap, started Little Leaf Copy Editing, and transitioned into full-time freelancing.
What services do you provide?
I offer a range of copy editing services and various writing services that include tutoring/consultations, writing assessments, beta reading, and content writing.
Who can benefit from your services?
Students who need help writing college entrance essays, research papers, theses, or dissertations; professors and writers who are writing articles for publications; business owners and entrepreneurs who need help with creating marketing/promotional content, proposals, or annual reports; and writers/authors who are seeking manuscript editing or coaching to develop their story (to name a few!).
What is a word of advice you can offer to other women in business?
